Channels

Slack and Microsoft Teams

Bring Slack Connect channels and Microsoft Teams messages into the ClickFix inbox; replies go back to the same chat.

The Slack and Microsoft Teams channels bring conversations with partners and enterprise customers into your inbox. Agent replies go back to the same chat, and in Slack to the right thread.

Slack

Slack connects over OAuth: you install ClickFix in your Slack workspace, then pick the channels to route.

Connect

  1. Choose Channels → Add channel → Slack and click Add to Slack.
  2. You're redirected to Slack; pick your workspace and approve the install.
  3. Back in ClickFix, the Routed Slack channels screen opens.

An install made with Slack's own "Install App" button is not linked to ClickFix. Always start the install with Add to Slack in ClickFix.

Pick channels

  1. In Slack, invite the bot to every channel you want to route:

    /invite @ClickFix

  2. In ClickFix, click Refresh list and tick the channels. You can also add a channel by its Slack channel ID.

Only messages from selected channels reach the inbox. With no channel selected, no Slack messages are received.

How it works

  • Each Slack thread is one conversation. The author's name is shown on the message.
  • Reacting to a message with :ticket: brings that message into the same conversation as a "Support request".
  • Your replies always go to the matching thread.

The ClickFix app asks for these scopes: chat:write, channels:history, groups:history, reactions:read, channels:read, groups:read, users:read.

Microsoft Teams

The Teams channel is specific to your organization: you create an app registration and an Azure Bot in your Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) tenant and enter their details in ClickFix. Your Microsoft 365 administrator should do these steps.

1. App registration (Entra ID)

  1. Azure Portal → Microsoft Entra ID → App registrations → New registration.
  2. Set Supported account types to Accounts in this organizational directory only (single tenant). No redirect URI is needed.
  3. Note the Application (client) ID and Directory (tenant) ID.
  4. Under Certificates & secrets → New client secret, create a secret and copy its Value. It is shown only once.

2. Azure Bot

  1. Create an Azure Bot resource in the Azure Portal.
  2. Set Type of App to Single Tenant and use the app registration from step 1.
  3. The F0 pricing tier is enough.
  4. Under Channels, add Microsoft Teams.

3. Create the channel in ClickFix

  1. Choose Channels → Add channel → Microsoft Teams.
  2. Fill in Microsoft App ID, App password (client secret) and Microsoft tenant ID, then click Connect.
  3. Copy the Messaging endpoint shown on screen.
  4. In Azure Portal → your Azure Bot → Configuration → Messaging endpoint, paste it and save.

4. Install in Teams

To use the bot in Teams you need an app package. The easiest way is the Teams Developer Portal (Apps → New app → App features → Bot, with the existing bot ID). Alternatively, zip the manifest below with two icons (192×192 color, 32×32 outline) and upload it under Teams → Apps → Manage your apps → Upload a custom app. Custom app upload must be allowed in your tenant.

Limits

The Teams channel currently supports text messages only; cards, files, edits and reactions are not supported.
